Our Delivery Process
We keep delivery simple, straightforward, and reliable.
All logs are delivered as loose loads in a tipping trailer, allowing us to drop your firewood quickly and efficiently in one go.
📍 Where we leave your logs
When placing your order, please let us know clearly where you’d like the logs tipped. The more specific you can be, the smoother things will be on the day. If you don't have space for the logs to be tipped we can always agree a work around like borrowing a wheel barrow to bring the logs in and stack them for you.
If you have a tarpaulin, it’s really helpful if you can leave it out where you’d like the logs dropped — this keeps everything neat and makes moving or covering the logs easier afterwards.

Honoring the Cycle Of Our Sussex Woodland
01. Responsible Sourcing
At The Log Pig, sustainability isn’t a marketing angle — it’s the foundation of everything we do.
All of our firewood is sourced from naturally fallen trees within local Sussex farmland. We never fell healthy trees for firewood. Instead, we carefully recover timber that has come down due to wind, age, or natural decline, giving it a second life as high-quality, ready-to-burn logs.
This approach allows us to:
-
Preserve healthy woodland ecosystems
-
Reduce unnecessary environmental impact
-
Maintain a genuinely low-carbon, local supply chain
Every log is cut by hand, processed and seasoned to below 20% moisture content to ensure a clean, efficient burn.
From fallen tree... to roaring fire... with a little help from the log pig!
02. Traditional Seasoning
Good firewood doesn’t happen by accident — it just takes time (and a decent barn).
All our logs are stacked and air-dried in barns where they’re kept dry but still get plenty of airflow. No rushing, no shortcuts — just proper seasoning the way it should be done.
We make sure our logs are below 20% moisture before they leave us, so you get:
-
Easier lighting
-
A hotter, longer-lasting burn
-
Less smoke and mess
Basically… logs that actually do what you want them to do 🔥
03. Premium Preparation
From dense Ash logs to high-quality kindling, our products are hand-sorted to guarantee consistent size and superlative quality. We deliver heat, not just wood.
By harvesting exclusively from fallen trees on our farm, we ensure the forest remains thriving and sustainable for generations to come.
We supply firewood exactly as it should be — properly seasoned, honestly measured, and reliably delivered.
All of our logs are sourced from fallen or dead trees on our farm, processed by hand and dried to below 20% moisture content.
Simple, dependable firewood you can trust.
